The Anderson 400 Low E Windows are now onsite and are being installed by the framers. We really like the look of the Anderson 400 series. The SDL (simulate divided light) system includes both the interior and the exterior grills which are flush to the glass with an aluminum spacer in between giving them the look of a traditional divided double hung window. We decided to go with the 2x2 grid formation rather than the traditional 2x3 dividers for most of the windows because its bit different and gives the house a little more modern look. I am also glad we made the decision to go with the matching Anderson Awning windows for the basement rather than the stock ones that the form guys put in when they do the foundation. They match the house a lot better and will let a ton of natural light into the basement if we decide to finish it down the road. You will also see that each window has Grace Ice & Water Shield both externally and on the sill to help keep out the water. This is one of those little things that costs a bit more upfront, but will save aggravation and repairs down the road.
