The second floor framing took only two days. The second to third floor stairs are in and so are the third floor joists. Next up is putting down the attic floor and then starting on the gables and the structural portion of the roof. It should be a productive week. Bill and I also spent some time last week working with the framer to decide how we wanted to size the overhangs. We are going to be using 12” overhangs with a good amount of trim and we wanted to make sure everything looks proportional. This will be much easier to explain with pictures shortly, but it’s an important detail that has infinite possibilities. It was very helpful to have a lot of pictures I had taken of other houses to show them what we liked and didn’t like.
